The Indirect Source Review (ISR) rule, which went into effect March 1, 2006,
requires developers of larger residential, commercial and industrial projects to
reduce smog-forming and particulate emissions generated by their projects. The
rule is expected to reduce nitrogen oxides and particulates throughout the San
Joaquin Valley by more than 10 tons per day by 2010.

Rule 9510, Indirect Source Review: Air District prevails in national suit over development project construction emissions
On September 19, 2008, the U.S. District Court in Fresno struck down a lawsuit contesting the regulations over development project construction emissions. The Court affirms that the District has the authority to regulate the effects of motor vehicles and equipment attracted to development sites.

and Mixed Use projects. New instructions and the proposed AIA form will
be forthcoming.
